In the spring of 2023, nearly a year after Alexandria Daddario and Andrew Form purchased a midcentury-modern fixer-upper in Los Angeles for $7.6 million, they bought another smaller property nearby for $2.8 million. Now, the couple is reducing their real estate portfolio and has listed this second home in Brentwood’s Mandeville Canyon neighborhood for just under $3 million.
Originally built in the late 1950s by surfer-turned-architect Matt Kivlin, the 2,418-square-foot home was extensively renovated by its previous owners with the help of designer Claire Thomas. The property was featured in the April 2022 issue of Architectural Digest.
Perched on a steep hillside spanning just over a third of an acre, the home’s lower level includes storage space, a bedroom that can serve as an office, and a two-car garage. The upper level features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and open-plan living areas with blonde hardwood floors and post-and-beam ceilings.
Notable features include a living and dining area separated by a large wood-burning fireplace covered in glazed Fireclay Tile, with sliding glass doors leading to a wraparound deck. In late 2022, Daddario and Form sold a French-Mediterranean home in L.A.’s Hancock Park to Sweetgreen co-founder Nathaniel Ru for $7.7 million, nearly $400,000 more than they paid John Wells for the property in summer 2021. The couple, married since June 2022, are currently expecting their first child.
