Known to fans as 2 Chainz, veteran rapper Tauheed Epps has always had a keen eye for luxury. In his Viceland TV show, “Most Expensive,” he even chronicled his travels across the country looking for stuff that was pricey (and cool!). Some of his most expensive finds include motorized surfboards that cost more than $11,000, diamond-infused martinis that cost $100,000 and gold-coated popcorn that costs $125 to $150 per gram.
The singer’s penchant for extravagance extends to his living quarters, so it’s not surprising. A decade ago, the young real estate investor bought a foreclosed Mediterranean-style mansion in Palmetto, Ga., for $517,000 and decked it out to the nines, but he also paid the Grammy-winning guitarist Steve Vai almost $2.5 million for luxurious digs in Los Angeles‘ Beachwood Canyon neighborhood in 2016.
The rapper has spent about $3.8 million on an even bigger home in the same area as the Vai digs, making it his largest and glitziest purchase to date. A fusion of contemporary and Mediterranean styles, the lavish residence was once owned by actress Eva Longoria and sold 12 years later for $436,000 after she purchased the property in 2006 for $3.6 million.
With six bedrooms and nine baths and nearly 9,000 square feet of light-filled living space adorned with hardwood and tile floors, soaring ceilings, arched windows, and a spiral staircase spanning all four levels of the white stucco structure, tucked away in a gated community with a two-car garage.
