Winch Design, renowned for its international projects spanning air, land, and sea, introduces a striking fusion of style and sustainability with its latest creation. This remarkable superyacht interior is unveiled as the third hull in Cantiere delle Marche’s Flexplorer 146 series, a 144-foot explorer crafted for an environmentally conscious owner deeply committed to nature. With plans for extensive family time on board, the yacht was envisioned to align seamlessly with their ecological lifestyle.
In a heartfelt homage to Mother Earth, the interior exudes a commitment to exclusive natural, non-toxic, and eco-friendly materials, each meticulously selected to minimize environmental impact. Earthy tones and organic textures pervade the design, resulting in a juxtaposition of raw and refined aesthetics. The inclusion of natural wooden floors by Mafi not only enhances the overall ambiance but also reinforces the vessel’s chemical-free environment.
The standout feature lies in the unconventional green materials integrated into the living spaces. Recycled fishing nets find new life as carpets, while textured eggshell walls and reclaimed seashell composite adorn various areas. A particularly captivating element is the green living wall, a centerpiece crafted from preserved moss, serving as a focal point along the staircase. Furthermore, the yacht’s furniture doubles as art, with a blend of palm leather and recycled wood chips.
In line with its commitment to sustainability, the yacht’s engineering places significant emphasis on eco-friendliness, meeting the stringent IMO Tier-III emissions standards, enabling it to navigate protected waters. Notably, Winch’s selection of the interior outfitting contractor aligns with their carbon-neutral business model.
Jim Dixon, Creative Director at Winch, articulates the studio’s mission to redefine conscious luxury for its clients, marking a significant stride toward this vision with the project. The explorer yacht is set to launch in 2025, promising a compelling journey at the intersection of high design and sustainable living. Stay tuned for this exceptional maritime endeavor.
